Your event duration will be 60-90 minutes followed by Q&A. You will be able to talk directly with attendees.
You’ve had a life changing experience. What do you know from that experience that you anticipate attendees will want to learn from you? Please create an outline of your talk that includes at least 3 key takeaway for attendees.
Please prepare a presentation to accompany your talk. This step is important, as it will serve as a tool to keep you on track with sharing your experience. Please use Canva or PowerPoint. Keynote does not work well with our software. Please submit your presentation with this form.
Practice your talk several times before the event day. Here are some tips: https://professional.dce.harvard.edu/blog/10-tips-for-improving-your-public-speaking-skills/ And here is a short 5 minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5mYphUoOCs
If your event is recorded, the recording will belong to IANDS and IANDS may use it as IANDS deems appropriate. This can include posting it to YouTube.
IANDS markets to a large community, but the events with the largest audiences are the one where the presenter (you) advertise to your own communities. Your IANDS representative will send you a link to your event. Please use this in your advertisements.
Please allow us up to 48 hours to post your event to our website.
Once your event is posted, you will receive an email from ZOOM. This email will contain a link that is specific to you. You will receive a reminder email 24 hours and 1 hour before your event. Those emails will also contain your link.
One hour prior to your event you will use your link to join our event team. Our team will help you adjust your lighting and sound. Then, you will turn off your video and mute your microphone. You will then join us again at your event start time.
For your event, you will need a secure room where no one else will enter. You will also need uninterrupted internet, a good camera and microphone, and the ability to present a PDF, Canva, or PowerPoint presentation (Keynote does not work with our system.)
