What does it feel like to exist beyond the physical body? Can you see without eyes, hear without ears, or experience movement, touch, and temperature while in the Light?

In this presentation, Andy Petro will draw upon his vivid memories of his near-death experience to explore how perception and the senses change when consciousness is no longer centered in the physical body. He will describe what it felt like to move through the tunnel, enter the Light, and become what he calls “a holographic piece of the unconditional Loving Light.”

Through this exploration, Andy will offer a firsthand perspective on the profound expansion of consciousness he experienced and the overwhelming love, joy, and sense of belonging he encountered. The presentation will conclude with an open Q&A, giving participants an opportunity to ask Andy their own questions about what it was like to be in the Light.

About ANDY

Andy Petro describes himself as a regular person who happened to have an extraordinary experience. During his high school graduation picnic in 1955, he drowned and was clinically lifeless for approximately ten minutes. During that time, he traveled through a tunnel and entered a brilliant Light filled with ecstasy, joy, and unconditional love.

Returning to his body was difficult. With no context for what had happened, Andy spent years feeling confused, frightened, and deeply saddened by the loss of the profound love he had experienced. It was not until he read Dr. Raymond Moody’s groundbreaking book Life After Life in 1975 that he recognized his experience as a near-death experience.

Today, Andy shares his remarkably detailed memories through his books and speaking engagements, offering others a firsthand account of consciousness beyond the physical body and the unconditional love he encountered in the Light.

For most of her life, Heather Vandermeyden was afraid of death. She believed that when she died, she would be judged for the things she had done wrong. Her near-death experience changed that belief in a way she never could have imagined. Instead of judgment, she was met with immeasurable love—and returned with an entirely new understanding of life, death, and what may exist beyond this physical world.

In this presentation, Heather will share her near-death experience and the extraordinary events that followed. Her return brought a miraculous recovery, but the journey was not easy: she had to learn to walk and talk again. She will also describe the spirit guide who helped her during her near-death experience—and who, remarkably, has continued to appear in her life since she returned.

Through the miracles and unexpected experiences that followed, Heather came to believe that our connection with the other side does not necessarily end when we return to this life. She will explore how these experiences freed her from the fear of death, helped her find greater meaning in life’s relationships and challenges, and influenced the way she now lives, makes choices, and understands her purpose.

By sharing her story, Heather hopes to help others who are struggling with a fear of death, grieving someone they love, or simply wondering what happens when we die. You do not need to have had a near-death experience yourself to connect with her story. She hopes attendees will leave feeling more hopeful, more at peace, and perhaps a little less afraid of what lies beyond this life.

Heather Vandermeyden is an author, speaker, and near-death experience survivor who is passionate about helping others find hope and a deeper understanding of life after death. Her own experience at age 20, followed by a remarkable recovery, changed the direction of her life and the way she understands death and the spiritual world.

Heather is the author of Miracles from the Other Side: How My Near-Death Experience Saved My Life. Through her book and speaking, she shares not only her near-death experience, but also the remarkable miracles and experiences that continued after she returned.

Heather serves on the board of Utah IANDS and enjoys connecting with others who have had near-death and spiritually transformative experiences. She hopes her story will help people feel less alone, more hopeful, and less afraid of death.
