IANDS Interior British Columbia 

The IANDS Interior BC Chapter offers a warm, safe, and compassionate space for Near-Death Experiencers (NDErs), people who have had spiritually transformative experiences (STEs), and anyone who feels called to learn from these profound moments. Our gatherings are grounded in respect, lived experience, and gentle community connection.

We meet twice per year:
• Fall/Winter Gathering: held in the Summerland or Penticton area
• Spring/Summer Gathering: held in Kelowna/Vernon area

These circles are open to experiencers, supporters, clinicians, caregivers, and anyone drawn to understanding NDEs and STEs in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. You are welcome to participate quietly or to share, whatever feels right for you.

Your Facilitators

Jose Hernandez is a Near-Death Experiencer, visionary artist, and international speaker whose 2000 NDE transformed the course of his life. His integration journey informed the creation of Inner Immersion, a trauma-informed modality rooted in guided imagery, expressive art, breathwork, and narrative reflection. His artwork has been featured internationally, and he is included in the Netflix docuseries Surviving Death. Jose lives in the Okanagan with his wife, Anastasia.

Anastasia Hernandez is a certified End-of-Life Doula and facilitator of contemplative deathwork. She is the creator of the transformative “Where Your Treasure Lies” program, and as a doula brings a presence-based, deeply attentive approach to supporting individuals and families navigating illness, grief, and major transitions. Her work is rooted in lived experience, contemplative prayer, and the belief that these conversations are sacred and deserving of care.

Together, Jose and Anastasia hold space with humility and respect for the mystery and transformation that often follow NDEs and STEs.
