Two scientists will share their thoughts about NDEs. Dr Vera Spilner is a quantum mechanics expert and will make a link between NDEs and the interesting and mysterious aspects of quantum mechanics. Dr Piero Calvi Parisetti is a researcher at the parapsychology department of the University of Northampton (UK) and will be talking about evidence pointing to the survival of human personality after bodily death. Then there will be 4 near-death experiencers from different counties in Europe telling their story. In a panel discussion, questions will be answered from the people attending the symposium.

About the two scientific speakers:
Prof. Vera Spillner, PhD, is a trained theoretical physicist (studies in Heidelberg, Minneapolis (USA) as a Fulbright scholar, and Berlin, graduating with a Diploma in String Theory) and philosopher (PhD from the University of Bonn on the Philosophy of Quantum Mechanics). She is Professor of Media Studies at Media University in Stuttgart, Germany. Her work explores the intersections of science, philosophy, and human experience, with a particular focus on near-death experiences. In her upcoming talk, she will explore the concepts of Oneness and Timelessness – well known in modern physics – and their striking parallels in NDE reports, inviting an open dialogue between disciplines.
Piero Calvi Parisetti
Author of bestselling books and internationally renowned speaker, Piero Calvi Parisetti is first and foremost a researcher at the Department of Parapsychology at the University of Northampton. A medical doctor specializing in public health, he taught for almost twenty years at various universities in Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He then devoted himself passionately to the study of the evidence for what he himself calls “the incredible truth”, namely the fact that, in a way that we do not yet understand, the human mind and personality seem to survive the death of the body.
