The IANDS Healthcare Professionals Group will focus on exploring near-death experiences, end-of-life journeys, and other related spiritually transformative experiences. While rooted in healthcare contexts, this group welcomes a broad spectrum of perspectives and experiences that touch the mystery, meaning, and transformation often encountered through illness, dying, and other profound thresholds of human experience.
This group welcomes professionals practicing in the healthcare and healing fields, including physicians, nurses, surgeons, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, clergy, spiritual care providers, chaplains, pastoral counselors, personal support workers, and health and wellness practitioners. It also includes patients living with chronic illness, as well as caregivers and others with lived experience. Participation is not limited to professionals; all who are drawn to or have an interest in this subject matter are warmly invited to join.
Date & time: Monthly / last Friday of each month / 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EST
Group Description: The IANDS Healthcare Professionals Group is intended to bring together practitioners from across the spectrum of healthcare, local, national, and internationally, in the spirit of IANDS sharing groups. This monthly gathering offers a welcoming space for healthcare professionals and those with lived experience to explore near-death, end-of-life, and other spiritually transformative experiences. Sessions will serve both as a platform for personal and professional sharing and as an educational forum. Occasional guest speakers will introduce topics related to emotional and spiritual intelligence, while discussions will also emphasize the interconnection of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Each month will feature a themed topic, with relevant research articles, clinical insights, and perspectives from both science and spirit to support integrative understanding.
We commit to respecting all who attend this group, knowing each person holds their perspectives and beliefs. To ensure a respectful and supportive environment, all participants are asked to honor confidentiality and practice compassionate, nonjudgmental listening. This group is committed to fostering a safe space for authentic dialogue, reflections, and connection.
About the Facilitator:

Following Dr. Keyaunoosh Kassauei’s studies as an International Medical Graduate (IMG) and completing a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, her trajectory shifted gradually after her own near-death experience (2006) toward coaching in healthcare and leadership. As the founder of “My Conscious Coaching,” a non-profit, and active fellow at the Institute of Coaching at Harvard/McLean Hospital, she supports and mentors other professionals in the healthcare field.
