Today, many people seek deeper meaning in their lives—a more profound connection with their inner self, their spirit, and how that relates to a higher consciousness. At a time in her life when she identified as an atheist,  Lesley Lupo experienced a near-death event after being caught in a stampede of horses. Following her hospitalization, although she knew the experience had been real, her scientific and skeptical mind struggled to comprehend it fully and to redefine her understanding of self.

In 1988, with very little written on the subject, Lesley found herself starting from square one, asking: Who am I, really? The journey that followed led her to rediscover her inner spiritual self, reevaluate her priorities, and begin cultivating a sense of self-worth and self-love that had long gone unrecognized.

In this presentation, Lesley will explore the process of discovering one’s inner divinity and how to bring balance between the human fight-or-flight response and the spiritual life. She will share vivid insights from her near-death experience, including what she encountered in the realm she refers to as “heaven.”

Lesley will also address a profound and often unspoken experience shared by many: the lifelong sense of alienation from family, culture, or community. Drawing from what she learned during her NDE, she introduces the concept of the “blindfolded Bodhisattva”—individuals who incarnate with a high level of soul development but without conscious awareness of it. These beings are often born into environments that do not recognize their spiritual depth, compelling them to forge their own unique spiritual path. In doing so, they often absorb and transmute the negativity around them.

Through this lens, Lesley offers both insight and affirmation for those who have felt misplaced or misunderstood, helping them reframe their experiences as part of a larger spiritual mission.

Bio: Lesley Lupo was born into a sports-loving family in Chicago.  She earned a double major in Fine Art and Developmental Psychology and went on to work for 25 years as an intuitive coach, including lecturing at the renowned Canyon Ranch resort.  Eventually, Lesley transitioned into private practice and began lecturing nationally on her near-death experience (NDE) and how it profoundly transformed her life.

Lesley’s profound near-death experience (NDE) led her to write her inspiring 2018 book, Remember, Every Breath is Precious. Her book offers a unique glance into the afterlife and invites the reader to venture beyond everyday life into understanding the undying reality of their Soul.  Her book has been endorsed by Dr. Pim van Lommel, Dean Radin, Ph.D., Dr. Raymond Moody, Ken Ring, Ph.D., Ervin Laszlo, Ph.D., Bruce Greyson, M.D., Suzanne Giesemann, and Dr. Gary Schwartz (who authored the foreword).

She has guest lectured in Dr. Gary Schwartz’s Psychology of Religion and Spirituality course at the University of Arizona and served as keynote speaker for a group of 80 physicians participating in the Integrative Medicine Elective Rotation, where she emphasized the importance of understanding NDEs in medical practice.

In her free time, Lesley enjoys creating glass mosaics, meditating, and organic gardening. She is currently working on a series of children’s books inspired by her insights and life experiences.
