Sunday AM Sharing Group

Our sharing groups welcome everyone, not just near-death experiencers. They offer a safe space to openly discuss near-death experiences, spiritually transformative experiences, or simply engage in conversations on these topics (or simply enjoy listening). All are welcome!

Please join us for the next IANDS Sharing group!

Facilitator: A.J. Parr

IANDS Sharing Groups are open to everyone, not just near-death experiencers. They provide a safe space to share spiritually transformative experiences and explore related topics. Of course, you’re always welcome to simply listen. All are welcome!

IANDS hosts these groups using the simple and user-friendly Zoom video conferencing program. To participate, you must create an account with IANDS Sharing Groups Online. After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to join. Alternatively, you can return to the reservation page on the event date and click the “Join Event” button, which becomes active 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Our sharing groups are free for everyone! IANDS relies on charitable contributions to support staffing and administration, and we sincerely appreciate your donations to help us continue providing a meaningful group experience.

Anyone with a genuine interest in near-death and related experiences is welcome. You’re invited to share, learn, or simply listen in one of our twelve monthly sharing groups. These are safe spaces where you can engage at your own comfort level. If you prefer, you may leave your camera off until you’re ready to turn it on, but we encourage you to enter your name in your video box, even if your camera remains off.

Each group is led by a trained facilitator who will review the IANDS Sharing Group guidelines. Facilitators ensure that everyone has an opportunity to share while maintaining a safe, neutral, and respectful space for all participants.

Please note that these groups are peer-to-peer sharing spaces and do not provide counseling. Sessions last approximately 90 minutes, and to preserve the group’s sense of safety, security, and privacy, access will close 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.

NDEs to Improve Non-ND Life

NDEs are powerful, transformative experiences. In fact, if everyone had one, it is easy to imagine the world quickly transitioning away from its current materialism focus towards a far healthier and happier understanding that we are parts of an interconnected whole.

As a species, humans are exceptionally skilled at talking themselves out of things. We tell ourselves that experiences having the greatest intensity cannot be real because others have said they are impossible; we deny the results of scientific experiments because the results do not align with the expectations of popular theories – despite the fact that disproving (and hence improving) current theories is the entire point of science. People who have had Near Death Experiences (NDEs) assure us that our “normal” waking understanding of the universe is, at best, woefully incomplete if not completely wrong. Scientific experiments have produced data that are inconsistent with a materialism worldview, that say that time and space are consequences of cognition, not the other way around. In this talk we will review this evidence and explore its implications. We will talk about how to conceive of a reality in which time and space are cognitive tools of narrative, and what this means for us in living our lives and reenvisioning what is meant by our own mortality.

NDEs are powerful, transformative experiences. In fact, if everyone had one, it is easy to imagine the world quickly transitioning away from its current materialism focus towards a far healthier and happier understanding that we are parts of an interconnected whole. Alas, the ethics of giving near-death experiences to everyone is questionable at best (despite an understandable desire to do so for those most in need of such a transformation), and so we must seek other approaches. In this presentation, I will share ways in which we can leverage knowledge of NDEs in complement with other evidence to pursue this transformative effect.

The key takeaways of the talk will be; the importance of sharing awareness of NDEs, particularly in ways that allow people to accept the information comfortably; the presence of scientific evidence that provide additional evidence for a non-materialist worldview; and how to use these awarenesses to cultivate habits and behaviors in our own lives that will both lead to greater happiness and (hopefully) motivate others to follow in our footsteps.

Dr. Jeffrey Dunne is the President of the International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL), a charitable research organization established in the late 1990’s to build upon the foundation established by the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) Laboratory. In addition to his role with ICRL, Jeff is a researcher and Chief Scientist at the Johns Hopkins University in a variety of fields ranging from acoustics and cybersecurity to data science and artificial intelligence. Dr. Dunne runs retreats on consciousness, mindfulness, and language, and is also an award-winning author and playwright with nearly two hundred plays that have been performed over four continents. In his 2023 novel, “Nexus“, Jeff unites three decades of scientific experience with four decades of pursuits in philosophy and metaphysics to weave a story that introduces the scientific principle of syntropy and its importance in finding balance at every scale – personal, societal, and global. Jeff’s driving passion is to help transform our world such that materialism gives way to the recognition of the crucial role that consciousness plays in the formation of reality.

OPEN Spirituality Group

This is a safe space for respectful open discussion of whatever Spirituality means to you. Open Spirituality has zero dogma or doctrine. It’s about a personal relationship with the Divine with zero requirements other than your intent to connect with like-minded people for stimulating conversation. Open Spirituality is a “non-religion.” It’s a place to share spiritual experiences and beliefs without a religious context. Religious contexts like churches, synagogues, mosques, and such are often the only place where people feel comfortable discussing spiritual concepts, but those places often feel artificially constrained once one has had an NDE or an STE. This group is for people who consider themselves spiritual but who may not be comfortable with traditional religions and religious beliefs and practices.

Open Spirituality Sharing Group
4th Sundays at 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT

The Open Spirituality group is an open gathering space for those who are looking for a place to share personal spiritual perspectives without dogma or doctrine, where everyone respects differing beliefs and perspectives.

The conversation will include our usual open discussion of everything spiritual where nothing is off-limits.

—————

What does spirituality mean to you? How has your understanding of spirituality evolved? How has spirituality challenged you in this life? This monthly group is a safe space for respectful open discussion of whatever Spirituality means to you.

Open Spirituality has NO dogma or doctrine. It’s about having a personal relationship with the Divine with zero requirements other than your intent to connect with like-minded people for stimulating spiritual conversation.

Open Spirituality is a “non-religion.” It’s a place to share spiritual experiences and beliefs without a religious context. Religious contexts like churches, synagogues, mosques, and such are often the only place where people feel comfortable discussing spiritual concepts but those places often feel artificially constrained once one has had an NDE or an STE. This group is for people who consider themselves spiritual but who may not be comfortable with traditional religions and religious beliefs and practices.

“Open Spirituality” is perhaps best defined by these quotes:

      • “Kindness is my religion.” – Dalai Lama
      • “Religion is an external practice. Spirituality is a state of mind.”
      • “Religion is about beliefs. Spirituality is about being.”
      • “The best religion is the one that brings you closest to God.”
      • “Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing,
        there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” – Rumi

——————

Let go of any preconceived ideas of spirituality! We explore the subject of spirituality from every conceivable perspective. This group combines open discussion with presentations and occasional guest interviews all centered around the broadest definitions of spirituality.

This group:

      • Respects and values all perspectives;
      • Is inclusive of all perspectives,
      • Welcomes all that seek to explore and investigate the mysteries of life;
      • Seeks to find the common ground that ties everything together;
      • Feels that science and spirituality are 2 sides of the same whole;
      • Sends love and understanding to all beings.

If you like subjects that are “out there” with a spiritual, philosophical, and/or theological perspective, this group is for you!

Religions generally come from an exclusive perspective that can be very limiting. Open spirituality is inclusive and it respects and values the vast diversity of perspectives we each represent.

This group is for you if ANY of the following statements resonate:

      • You feel constrained by societal boundaries/definitions of spirituality and/or religion;
      • You consider yourself ‘spiritual’ but not religious (SBNR);
      • you love your religious community, but feel there is more to spirituality;
      • You believe in the Oneness of all that is;
      • You believe in the equality of all beings;
      • You love the mystery of life/existence and you would like to explore it in more depth;
      • You love God/Source/Creator, but feel that those terms are too limiting;

The Open Spirituality group will explore and discuss the most inspiring spiritual aspects of all religious traditions, philosophies, theologies, cosmologies, and *experiences* like STEs, NDEs, OBEs, alien encounters, psychic phenomena, mediumship, the healing arts, and such.

Open Spirituality welcomes people from all faith traditions. It does not promote any particular belief or theology other than the belief that we are all spiritual beings.

Proponents are self-proclaimed and all are welcome and supported as long as they are open, inclusive, and supportive of the beliefs of others. Open Spirituality welcomes atheists and agnostics as well since the belief in the existence of a deity is a matter of personal opinion.

“Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of the opinions of others drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.” – Steve Jobs

Lastly, the following excerpt from Wikipedia seems appropriate:
Spiritual but not religious” (SBNR), also known as “spiritual but not affiliated” (SBNA), or the “Nones” are some of the phrases used to self-identify a life stance of spirituality that does not regard organized religion as the sole or most valuable means of furthering spiritual growth.

For these groups, IANDS uses the Zoom video conferencing system. After registering for the event, it’s as simple as clicking the link provided in your email (prior to the event).

About the host, Daniel Endy:

Daniel has been on the spiritual path ever since he was a youngster. He was brought up in the Catholic religious tradition and attended Catholic schools. As with many people, Daniel was comfortable with spirituality but he had trouble with religious dogma and he sought deeper truths. As a teen, Daniel left Catholicism and became what he calls a “spiritual independent.” He searched and researched extensively finding “tidbits” of wisdom here and there at first. Over time he found his way to more and more spiritual teachings that resonated as truth for him. He believes that each person’s journey and “truth” is unique and that it evolves as each person does.

Daniel often thought of how he wanted an open community of people who were spiritual but non-dogmatic. He envisioned a group that would be welcoming and inclusive for all without limits. Open Spirituality is that dream manifested. All are welcome. All perspectives are respected. We don’t need to invalidate beliefs that we disagree with. We can all co-exist in peace.

Our Guardian Angel’s Relationship with Us ~Workshop One: Foundations of the Guardian Angel – Human Relationship

Guardian angels have long been recognized in humanity. Beginning in the 1990’s, their presence gained increasing interest and attention. Literature on angel interventions includes thousands of accounts of angels saving people from life-threatening situations, providing comfort and healing during difficult times, and helping to solve life problems.

Guardian angels have long been recognized by humanity. Beginning in the 1990s, their presence gained increasing interest and attention. Literature on angel interventions includes thousands of accounts of angels saving people from life-threatening situations, providing comfort and healing during difficult times, and helping to solve life problems. Beyond calling upon them in times of need, there is much more to the relationship we can have with our guardian angel. We can learn to receive their gentle teachings in every aspect of our lives. We can allow their continual direction in our personal and career growth. We can also receive their highest purpose, which is guiding our spiritual advancement and life purpose. In our human evolution, we can grow in developing the guardian angel-human relationship so we can receive increasing spiritual guidance and direction for our individual and collective advancement.

In this 3-part workshop series, held April 19, May 17, and June 21, participants will learn:

  • The roles our guardian angel plays in our lives
  • Empirical experience
  • Sixth-sensory skills
  • How to communicate with our guardian angel
  • How our guardian angel can communicate with us
  • Guided meditations to communicate with our guardian angel

Participants are encouraged to bring a journal or notebook and a pen, and to be in a place where they can meditate quietly. Beyond that, they simply need to have a desire to learn how our guardian angel can help us in life, with our spiritual advancement, and how to communicate with our guardian angel. They will also learn:

  • How to develop the guardian angel-human relationship
  • The many roles our guardian angel can have in our lives and the depth of their love and devotion
  • How to communicate with our guardian angel and how our guardian angel can communicate with us
  • How to develop empirical experience and sixth-sensory skills to foster this communication
  • How to begin building the foundation for this lifelong relationship

There will be time for questions and answers, as Andrew will foster a collaborative environment and invite participants to share their experiences from their meditations during each workshop. He will offer meditations to work on between workshops and invite participants to share their experiences with their meditations at the next workshop.

Bio:
Andrew Oxman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 28 years of experience. He earned his Master of Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He discovered his love of spirituality during a college course called Spiritual Autobiography, which began his path of spiritual seeking. In the early 2000s, he attended a twenty-week course in Spiritual Skills for Daily Living. In 2008, he felt a calling to study angels, a passion that inspires his ongoing research. In 2011, he completed a certification course in communicating with angels and gave hundreds of angel card readings over the next seven years. He also taught workshops on how to read angel oracle cards. He attended classes in psychic skill development and, in 2015, completed a six-month training program in evidential mediumship. In 2016, his guardian angel became consciously present in his life and has been teaching him about the Guardian Angel-Human relationship. He is the founder of An Angel Talk, where he created a safe space for participants to talk about angels, learn sixth-sensory skills, and communicate with their guardian angel. Andrew is a student of A Course in Miracles and is in the process of finishing the manuscript for his first book about angels. As well as angel interventions, he has experienced precognitive vision, after-death communication (ADC), and spiritually transformative experiences (STE). He is grateful to serve as a facilitator and moderator for IANDS sharing groups, helping to create a safe and supportive community for participants to share all types of spiritual experiences.

UAP, NHI, NDE Sharing Group

This group is a safe space to share, learn, and explore the transformative experience of encountering galactic beings. IANDS groups are a safe place to talk and share openly about one’s spiritually transformative experience with like-minded people. We invite you to share, learn, and grow with us. Everyone is welcome!

Share, discover, and explore the connection between spiritually transformative experiences like NDEs, encountering NHI – non-human intelligence, and UAP sightings.

This sharing group is for everyone interested in the overlap between spirituality, NDEs, STEs, and UAP/NHI experiences. It is a safe space where like-minded people can share their experiences and explore these connections. It’s time to acknowledge this subject and bring it out of the shadows so more people can speak freely about it.

Just as NDEs come with a variety of aftereffects, UAP/NHI experiences are also accompanied by similar aftereffects like heightened awareness of the unity of all life, greater compassion for all beings, and an increased interest in metaphysics and spirituality.

Over time many people have noticed similarities between NHI/UAP experiences and NDEs and STEs. Similar to NDEs, NHI/UAP experiences tend to transform people’s worldviews. It causes experiencers to reexamine their beliefs and the nature of existence itself. As with NDEs, some experiencers develop an intense interest in areas like quantum mechanics, sacred geometry, and/or science in general.

As with the major shifts brought about by advances in human understanding like the invention of the telescope or the discovery that the Earth and other planets revolve around the Sun, an NDE or NHI experience can transform almost everything about a person’s belief systems.

More and more NDErs are reporting NIH/UAP encounters. Some of them even report seeing past lifetimes as an NHI on other worlds. Emmanuel Swedenborg, the scientist who had a spiritual awakening in the mid-1700s, wrote extensively about his spiritual experiences. His descriptions closely resemble modern-day reports of NDEs. Swedenborg also wrote about meeting NHI beings from other worlds.

For decades, critical information about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) has been concealed by the U.S. government and aerospace defense contractors. Unlike the now outdated term ‘UFO’, UAP encompasses unidentified aerial, underwater, and spaceborne objects, reflecting a more comprehensive and scientifically rigorous approach to the phenomenon.

Now, humanity stands at the threshold of an unprecedented revelation. Recently enacted legislation has mandated the disclosure of long-hidden evidence confirming the possession of advanced craft of non-human origin, along with biological material that does not belong to any known Earth-based species.

The implications of disclosure are occurring. The evidence retrieved from these vehicles demonstrates that we are not alone in the universe. Furthermore, it confirms the presence of Non-Human Intelligences (NHI)—a term that replaces “extraterrestrial” to acknowledge the possibility that these intelligences may not be solely from distant planets but could also involve interdimensional, ultraterrestrial, or other unknown origins.

As we enter this new era of awareness, it is important to approach these revelations with wisdom, curiosity, and a spirit of unity. Our relationship with NHI offers opportunities to foster peace among ourselves and act as responsible stewards of our planet. We can only prepare to engage with the larger galactic civilizations now being officially acknowledged through cooperation and collective understanding.

To navigate this paradigm shift, we’re encouraged to:

  • Gain deeper insight into UAP technologies by exploring the empirically observed influence of consciousness on physical reality.
  • Tap into our intuitive and extrasensory capacities to enhance our ability to perceive and communicate with NHI.
  • Expand our understanding through the latest advances in cosmology, quantum physics, and human bioenergetics related to UAP phenomena.

This time in history invites us to step forward with scientific rigor and an open mind, embracing the reality of a vastly interconnected cosmos.

Just as NDEs come with a variety of aftereffects, NHI and UAP experiences are also accompanied by similar aftereffects such as heightened awareness of the unity of all life and increased compassion for all beings.

This is a sharing group that welcomes everyone.

This group is free like all of the IANDS sharing groups. IANDS relies upon your generous donations to provide these groups. Please consider donating.

This group meets every 2nd Thursday at 8 pm ET, 7 pm CT, 6 pm MT, and 5 pm PT. For international attendees, you can use this link to check your local time:

About the facilitators

M.K. “Kathy” McDaniel – Facilitator

Kathy is the author of Misfit in Hell to Heaven Expat: Lessons from a Dark Near-Death Experience and How to Avoid Hell in the Afterlife.”

Placed on a ventilator for lung failure in 1999, M.K. McDaniel fought for her life in a drug-induced coma for three weeks. Misfit In Hell To Heaven Expat is a memoir of M.K.’s experiences before, during, and after a Dark Near-Death Experience. Her family waited and prayed, totally unaware of the horrors M.K. was bravely facing and miserably enduring in a seemingly eternal hell, culminating in her eventual glimpse of heaven and chat with her deceased fiancé. But M.K. still had work to do on Earth. During her lengthy recovery, as M.K. reflected on the purpose of her experiences in the Afterlife, she recalled the tribulations of her family ancestors and their courage to survive. If they could overcome their overwhelming obstacles, then so could she. As memories of former earthly hellish traumas surfaced and seemed to parallel her actual hell experiences, M.K. sought out others with the same story. She eventually found solace, hope, and understanding at the International Association of Near-Death Studies meetings in Seattle. IANDS offered insights, camaraderie, and joy she had nearly forgotten to be possible in this life. Uplifting, humorous, chilling, and engrossing, Misfit In Hell To Heaven Expat takes the reader by the hand to safely explore our human and otherworldly selves. Its gentle message will help the reader find their way along the bumpy, earthly road to eternity.

Daniel Endy – C0-facilitator

Daniel has been a spiritual seeker and researcher for over 50 years. In his early teens, he decided that the religious dogma he had been taught made no sense and he became what he calls a spiritual independent. Daniel felt that if there truly was a Creator and a spiritual reality beyond the physical world, it had to make rational sense. His studies have covered a very wide range of teachings, experiences, and publications.

Daniel has a particular interest in spirituality and all transformative experiences including NDEs, the works of Emmanuel Swedenborg, and distressing spiritual experiences. He is a member of the IANDS board of directors and is very active with the IANDS Sharing Groups and Events.
