Angelic Reality’s Diane Givens NDE Salon: “Why I painted Seven Chakra Angels” Presented by Portland Oregon IANDS

Join Emmy Award-winning art director Diane Givens, inspired by the Seven Chakra Angels who brought her back to life. She returned with a purpose… to transform her life experience with the Seven Chakra Angels – archetypes reflecting our inner community of self-healing Energy Centers, or chakras – into self-coaching wellness tools for everyone to use anytime – the Energy Attunement Deck and Practice. Attune yourself with the aspects and frequencies of nature that we mirror in ourselves. Discover fresh perceptions, and find positive choices to navigate your life with Joy. Saturday, 10/23/2021 at 6:00 pm EDT/ 3:00 pm PDT

Diane Givens, founder of Angelic Reality, was born dying, spending her life in and out of hospitals, often in terminal condition. She overcame a lifetime of more than 40 surgeries to become an award winning art director, earning Emmys, Addys, Tellys and a Cleo. At the height of her career she found herself in a familiar place between two worlds, where she met an angel she later came to know as “Joy”. She left the film business, sold her home, moved to a cabin on a lake, and began to paint the angel “Joy”, when six more came to her at once, and onto her canvas – each with a message and it’s own harmonically balanced song. Diane listened, and composed and performed healing music and meditations – on stage, in hospitals and orphanages – sharing the Seven Chakra Angels’ messages. Diane has decades of experience leading Path of Illumination Salons throughout the Americas (which she calls “a gathering of people who love the truth”). Her Sacred Journeys with Shamans have taken her to Machu Picchu, Tikal, the tops of Alaskan glaciers, and to crop circles in the UK. She has performed Energy Attunement Salons and recorded with world-class musicians and modern mystics. Along her journey she evolved the Energy Attunement Deck and Practice that gives everyone the tools she uses to find fresh perceptions, make positive choices, and navigate life with Joy. Each of the deck’s 49 cards features one of her original paintings. Diane’s husband Guy Kramer calls the Seven Chakra Angels “our Board of Directors”. Currently they’re building an app to share the Energy Attunement Deck and Practice online with everyone.

Emmy Award-winning art director and founder of Angelic Reality, Diane Givens shares why she paints angels. In this NDE Salon she will tell how she met Seven Chakra Angels who put her back in her body, chakra by chakra, and how they guide her spiritual journey with a purpose she felt was a gift from an angel she met named “Joy”. This salon will introduce Diane’s simple self-coaching wellness tools – the Energy Attunement Deck, Mystic Tapestry, and Practice – and how they help us discover fresh perceptions, and make positive choices to navigate life. Diane will invite you to join her in an Energy Attunement Practice, to flex your intuitive muscles, and become “your own oracle.” “Take a refreshing deep breath. Draw a card. Move your energy. And shift your perception to make positive choices. Tune yourself like the joyful instrument you really are.”

**** Special Message from Portland Oregon IANDS ****

Greetings!  My name is Greg Thompson and I am the new group leader for the Portland IANDS chapter.  I want to thank Jane de Forest for her hard work as the previous group leader.  She is a good friend and I wish her well.
I personally have had several near-death experiences and one shared death experience. In addition, I have had guidance to help me on my intended path in this life. I have helped people through rough times with grief, providing comfort and aid to people all around the world with the help of my guides.

I spoke about these experiences at a Portland IANDS meeting last January and have been involved in IANDS for the past three years off and on. I have written a book about my experiences and it is being published soon. It is titled ‘Living with My Spirit Guides’.

I am excited about working with the members and friends of Portland IANDS. Talking and working with people of similar interest in an area that was for a long time ridiculed is a breath of fresh air. Everyone has a different and valuable perspective on the world and deserves to be able to share their experiences and thoughts in a safe environment. I believe IANDS provides that space.

Elizabeth Krohn – Changed in a Flash: One Woman’s Extraordinary NDE, Presented by Dallas / Ft Worth IANDS

Elizabeth Greenfield Krohn was a wife and mother of two young boys when she was struck by lightning in the parking lot of her Houston synagogue in 1988. Suddenly transported to a garden where she found herself engaged in a revelatory conversation with a spiritual being, her most fundamental understandings of what the world is and how it works were completely transformed.

When Elizabeth Greenfield Krohn got out of her car with her two young sons in the parking lot of her synagogue on a late afternoon in September 1988, she couldn’t have anticipated she would within seconds be struck by lightning and have a near-death experience. She felt herself transported to a garden and engaging in a revelatory conversation with a spiritual being. When she recovered, her most fundamental understandings of what the world is and how it works had been completely transformed. She was “changed in a flash”, suddenly able to interact with those who had died and have prescient dreams predicting news events. She came to believe that some early traumatic and abusive experiences had played a part in preparing her for this experience. Told in matter-of-fact language, the first half of her book Changed in a Flash is the story of Krohn’s journey, and the second is an interpretation and analysis by respected professor of religion Jeffrey J. Kripal. He places Krohn’s experience in the context of religious traditions and proposes the groundbreaking idea that we are shaping our own experiences in the future by how we engage with near-death experiences in the present. Changed in a Flash is not about proving a story, but about carving out space for serious discussion of this phenomenon.

Finding Your Mission: The Divinely Orchestrated Path

You will be amazed at how this group was able to crystalize the title of this event in a spontaneous sharing session at an early Sunday ISGO event on July 4. The diversity of lifepaths and experiences will be shared (including NDE, STE, ADC, and spontaenous related experiences). The realizations then emerged of how each of these individuals found a meaningful mission or missions from the journey to this point in their lives and are awe inspiring to hear all on their own.

Next… the coalescing of each of those unique odysseys to a very unified perspective on a greater reality that gives meaning and purpose to all of this.

Sound exaggerated?  Guess you’ll have to join us to find the degree of resonance from within for your own journey… This may be the most amazing event ever produced on ISGO… six life stories that can bring us all together!

Terry Larkin and Marj Steiner – Sisters face life-altering events spaced years apart and search together for understanding.

Sisters who experienced life-altering events spaced years apart were thereby brought together to seek truth about the mysteries of life and death. Terry Larkin died in a car wreck in 1982, having an NDE that set her on an inward journey for understanding. Fourteen years later, Terry’s sister Marj lost Anne, her 19-year-old daughter in another accident. Later standing in the kitchen with her grief, Marj was suddenly consumed by light, an experience that inexplicably transformed her agonizing sadness into joy and peace, sending her on a journey with Terry in search of understanding. Together, they wrote The Light Gap: God’s Amazing Presence in 2016, weaving their two experiences together to form a powerful message.

Tragedy befell them separately, bringing two sisters together. In 1982, Terry Larkin died in a car wreck and had a life-changing near-death experience, but in those days it seemed safer to process her experience inwardly as she traveled the globe in search of meaning. Fourteen years later, Terry’s sister Marj Steiner was stricken with grief when she lost her 19-year-old daughter Anne to an accident. Then, one day in her kitchen, Marj unexpectedly found herself consumed by a LIGHT that transformed her agonizing sadness into joy and peace. Now heartbroken, Terry shared with Marj her journey to understand her NDE and its gift of non-judgmental pure love. Together, they found healing knowledge and an understanding of our body’s amazing power through light, energy, and information. Coincidences occured as the veil was lifted, and a fire within Marj was ignited to keep learning more and more, while a passion arose within her to pass on all of the insight she has gained… especially that wisdom learned through the eyes of children. The two sisters’ journeys expanded as they began to help one another. Driven by unexplained events and awe, they shared a common interest in searching for understanding the mysteries of life and death. The collaboration and communication between the two have provided powerful learning about communication with the spirit world, our own Divinity, meditation, healing, and the powerful energy of love though ONENESS with all souls. Terry and Marj will share their journey to become unique individuals who are yet CONNECTED in the web of LOVE with all of humanity. Grief, laughter, light, and love led them to share first through their book The Light Gap: God’s Amazing Presence ~ Our Journey to Understand LIFE Through Light and Near-Death in 2016, and now through mature eyes opened by way of tremendous growth. JOIN US… we have incredible messages meant just for you!

How NDE’s Transform Our Lives (How to live the transformation)

Rabbi Robbins capstone message is that “humanity has turned the corner and will continue to realize even more that ‘we are all dependent on each other’ resulting in less avarice between competing ideologies and more agreement to co-exist for healing the welfare of ourselves and the planet!”

Rabbi Robins will focus on the positive messages he has received from his spiritual guides through his eight near-death experiences. Many people who have spiritual transformative experiences do not know how to deal with their experiences. He wishes to provide the insights he has received through his NDE’s. Each of his near-death experiences has provided additional information on human conditions that need attention. His life has led him to a position of influence in several areas and he is the first to say that it is a humbling experience. He believes he is directed to help others based on what he has learned through his spiritual connection. To help each person to focus on the most elemental question, “Why is this happening to me?”

Portland Oregon IANDS Rabbi Stephen Robbins, Psy.D., D.D. co-founder co-Rabbi with his wife Rabbi Cantor of Congregation N’vay Shalom, Co-founder of the Academy for Jewish Religion, CA; the first trans-denominational rabbinic and cantorial school. He is also a Kabbalist and a practitioner of Kabbalistic healing. In addition, he is a clinical psychologist with a specialty in psycho-neural immunology of trauma and brain development. He integrates both the science and the mysticism into a unified system of human development. This system is particularly applied to those with NDE’s. Rabbi Robbins has had eight NDE’s as well as thirteen surgeries and multiple STE’s. He teaches how to find the deeper meanings in the experience of each person’s NDE.

MA-NDE Reckoning: What Does It Mean?

Nan writes: “Some NDEs send their experiencers back with an obvious message: Love; Learn; Serve. Others, not so much – and some hide positive meanings behind layers of questions and struggle. We wrestle especially with distressing NDEs, thrown into the hardest questions about goodness and evil,  ego and soul, and the nature of God, if there is one, and of human existence. We didn’t ask for this; so is the struggle worth it? Those who make the journey into the peaks and valleys of spirit and consciousness say there is ultimately a sense of resolution, and positive affirmations, even joy.” Additionally, she explains that she sees distressing NDEs “ …not as punishment but as an upwelling of something that needs to be heard.”

Following her own distressing NDE, Nancy Evans Bush spent four decades as a leading researcher of these experiences. She is President Emerita of IANDS, a teacher, and an author of three books about distressing NDEs: Dancing Past the Dark (“The bible on the topic,” to quote Bruce Greyson), The Buddha in Hell and Other Alarms, and her latest, the autobiographical Reckoning: Discoveries after a Traumatic Near-Death Experience. Those who make the journey into the peaks and valleys of spirit and consciousness say there is ultimately a sense of resolution, and positive affirmations, even joy.” Additionally, she explains that she sees distressing NDEs “ …not as punishment but as an upwelling of something that needs to be heard.”

Nancy and IANDS: Nan came to the International Association for Near-Death Studies in 1982 as its first administrator and editor of Vital Signs for several years. After a break when the office moved to Philadelphia, she returned as a Board member and later President.

Biography: Nancy Evans Bush describes her professional history as “eclectic,” because, she says, it otherwise looks just scattered. Before coming to IANDS, she had worked as an English teacher, foundation librarian, admin assistant to “a shyster management consultant in the Chrysler Building,” grant writer, pediatric nurse practitioner researcher, and client service director for a large employment and training program–all in roughly five-year chunks and each providing background which would prove invaluable when she became the first administrator of the world’s first nonprofit in the new field of near-death studies.

That was in 1982. She had not heard of near-death experiences, though she had for twenty years been dealing with the effects of a reality-shattering event she had never mentioned to anyone. Like the work history, her NDE also did not fit a mold. It was unpleasant in the extreme, and cross-cultural, and unfathomable to the young woman raised in a liberal Protestant parsonage; she did not expect unpleasantness at death or about life.

Nancy holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY-Albany, with a certificate in French from McGill University and a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from St. Joseph’s University (so she could learn about mysticism). Her three adult children live in Virginia, England, and China; seven grandchildren and two great-grands are scattered from Oregon to the UK. She and her partner of 42 years, Nancy Poe Fleming, live by a salt marsh in coastal North Carolina, where they observed the Covid pandemic by being quietly married.

A Heart of Harps – a faeries guide to being human.

Karen has had a life full of experiences – multiple child NDEs, three adult NDEs from a traumatic car crash injury and subsequent surgery, plus several shared death experiences with humans and pets, and pronounced aftereffects including being led to learn the harp and allowing the music to play through her.

Once again we are faced with an individual that hesitates while sharing because the profundity of sources and vastness of experience do not readily emerge from human language. Be sure to sign-up for this event to see and hear the results for yourself. There will be parts of this event featuring harp music channeled by Karen.

Biographical Info:

Educated with a doctorate of psychology, Karen was a full-time practicing therapist until stepping back from a busy work life to provide caregiver support followed by end-of-life companionship for her mother’s recent transition.

Karen remains buffeted by having to deal with the pull of a society that does not recognize the reality of transpersonal experiences. Join us to support this amazing woman coming forward to share her reality that has often been denied by family, friends, professional colleagues, … essentially alone until discovering IANDS and similar validation and affirmation from communities that have walked the talk and heard the music for themselves.

The Place Between Here and There

Steve will detail his journey to this wonderous place then back to Earth, where he had to rehabilitate from grave injuries, only to experience the worst tragedy a parent can imagine. With the help of a soul connection from the higher realms, he found his way back to the peace and bliss he learned from “The Place Between Here and There.”

Steve Weber was riding his Harley one day in 2015 when he was broadsided by a large SUV and spent the next three weeks in a coma. Upon reflection during his recovery, he realized that experiences he at first didn’t recognize as otherworldly were in fact a visit to another realm, a domain he now talks about with deep passion. He tells of traveling to a place where time did not exist, where people are spirits, and where in bliss he learned the wisdom of the universe, coming to understand the connection of souls, the continuation of consciousness, and the inter-communication between realms.

Steve’s talk will detail his journey to this wonderous place then back to Earth, where he had to rehabilitate from grave injuries, only to experience the worst tragedy a parent can imagine. With the help of a soul connection from the higher realms, he found his way back to the peace and bliss he learned from “The Place Between Here and There.”

If you are grieving from the heartbreaking loss of a loved one, Steve’s story may help you find peace. If you are wondering whether what you see here on Earth is all there is, his talk may bring some insight to your thoughts. If you have personally experienced or believe in the infinite spirit inside each of us, what Steve shares may be an affirmation of all you hold sacred.

Steve lives with his love and co-author Katherine Plant in Northport, New York, where he works as an Information Technology Manager and Kathie is in childcare. Together, they host workshops to help others heal their grief by understanding the continuation of consciousness and our connection to one another and spirit, to understand the meaning of life by knowing that all experiences are opportunities for spiritual growth on a soul level, and to use higher awareness to achieve bliss while here on Earth. His book, The Place Between Here and There, is available on Amazon in paperback, audiobook, or Kindle.

While in labor, Krista suffered an amniotic fluid embolism resulting in cardiopulmonary arrest. Her pulse was lost  for 8 minutes, followed by three days in the ICU  for severe bleeding. Krista experienced an NDE when she flatlined, it was the catalyst for profound change that really would not fully take hold  until  10 years afterwards. Krista explains,

“I continue to gain more and more insight into my experience and how it explains the Universe and our place in it.”

Krista Gorman, a Florida resident, is a Physician Assistant who has worked in emergency, pain management and now has gone to assist in the Covid crisis. Krista went to work in New York City when the pandemic so tumultuously emerged there. She has spent the last few months in field hospitals in Texas working 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week.

IANDS Launch Pad Series – A Veteran’s NDE and Path to Revealing It

Chase Skylar DeMayo is a U.S. Air Force veteran who died April 1, 2008, and was sent back to spread laughter, light, love and joy to the world. His near-death experience (NDE) occurred during cardiac arrest while he was stationed at Langley Air Force Base. For 12 years, Chase kept his NDE private for fear of judgment and retribution. Now he reveals the depth of his experience and its aftereffects. Come hear this remarkable, spirit-filled man!

Are Veteran’s more likely to have NDE’s while less likely to come forward?
with Chase Skylar DeMayo

I took it in and realized I was in Heaven, watching what happiness was. We didn’t exchange spoken words back and forth like a traditional conversation. The joy itself seemed to be the conversation; the light and the love that was flowing through me was filled with information and memories.

Jesus turned to me and said with another smile on his face, “You have to go back now.”

I took another look around. I remember feeling content with his guidance—as if this was all part of the plan.

“I need you to go back and remember to share laughter, joy, love, and light,” he said.

When he said those words, it was if they were being tattooed into me, or digested into my heart. Those words hit me like a truck.

Before I could respond, he started to grin again. It was the type of grin you have right before a laugh starts to come out. There was such a sense of fun and humor during my time spent in the garden. To me, it felt like the relationship you have with a best friend or sibling or spouse, where even the slightest notion could send you into peals of laughter.

His grin was my last memory before gravity set in and the weight of the world started to set into my human body again. It was obvious I was no longer in Heaven, where everything was so free and weightless.

What would a 21 year old do after such a clear, defined, and transformative experience while in the Air Force? Nothing. I told no one about my experience. I joked about dying with friends, but I knew if I told anyone about my experiences in Heaven that they would think I was either crazy, lying, or both. I couldn’t tell people I had met Jesus. Who was I to share that? A church might look at me and say, “He hasn’t earned his right to enjoy such an experience.” My friends and family might think it was all for attention. So, for 12 years, it stayed a secret from almost everyone but my close friends and family. Until now.
